If something is existential, it has to do with human existence. So says Google. Existence and reality can be considered synonymous. Google confirms this. Both terms refer to the state of being real or having a material form. Existence: a fact or state of being real, live, or actual. Reality: the state of things as they actually are, as opposed to how they are perceived or imagined.
Though these perspectives are a bit outdated and Newtonian (object-based), most people see existence and reality as synonymous and mechanistic. BUT, the new science of consciousness (in physics, biology, and other fields) says that existence and reality are, in fact, all about perception and the imagined. There is nothing solid or tangible in the old way of thinking. Reality doesn't exist somewhere out there. Rather, we choose to exist and we create our own reality. Of course you can find these perspectives by searching Google. You also can find an OVERVIEW of some of these topics and USEFUL RESOURCES on this site to get you started.
